Veronica Mason is an accomplished healthcare leader with experience in project, operations, and process improvement management.
Before joining HMA, Veronica served as a project manager at Indiana University Hospital, overseeing various projects in support services, initiating process enhancements, and fostering key partnerships. Her role as a health plan operations project coordinator at MDWise involved streamlining procedures, enhancing transparency, and implementing software solutions. At Eskenazi Health, she excelled as a care coordinator assistant, coordinating care, increasing patient enrollment, and driving community outreach initiatives.
In her ongoing United States Army Reserve service, Veronica has demonstrated exceptional leadership and expertise across various roles. As an enlisted executive aide, she serves as the executive assistant for the Command Sergeant Major of the United States of America Civil Affairs and Psychological Affairs Command (USACAPOC), providing administrative and planning support for command-wide projects. In her role as a section sergeant, Veronica revitalized an underperforming supply department, enhancing staff productivity and efficiency while also implementing a successful onboarding sponsorship program.
Veronica excelled as a platoon sergeant/section leader, expertly leading a cross-functional team and ensuring superior equipment maintenance and tactical operations planning. She also served as a maintenance administrative technician, where she streamlined work order processes and achieved Department of Defense (DoD) inspection standards, and as a fragmentation order manager in an active Army position, where she displayed outstanding leadership qualities and oversaw the issuance of numerous successful operations orders and plans.
She has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Indianapolis in healthcare advocacy and is currently pursuing her master’s in healthcare administration. She also has a project management certification from the Project Management Institute. When she is not busy keeping projects organized, you can find her either at a CrossFit class or at the lake relaxing with her husband, three kids and her beloved dog, Peanut.
