Neil Rolland is an accomplished strategic advisor and business solutions consultant with more than 30 years of executive experience in healthcare and life sciences. Focused on building successful, high-performing healthcare organizations, Neil’s expertise spans strategy and innovation, program execution, electronic medical record/electronic health record (EHR) optimization, revenue cycle management (RCM), drug diversion monitoring, telemedicine, retail healthcare, public and private exchanges, and accountable care organizations.
Before joining Health Management Associates, Neil spent 15 years leading healthcare practices at Trexin, HealthBPM, and Trissential. His leadership contributed to dramatic increases in revenue, delivering 40 and 50 percent increases for HealthBPM and Trissential as well as a $12 million increase for Trexin two years after the COVID-19 pandemic. He drove strategic growth plans focused on increasing efficiencies to provide leaner overhead cost structures and expanded service offerings, including provider-based services, EHR optimization, drug diversion prevention and operational excellence.
Neil is an excellent communicator who builds long-term and trusted relationships. He has experience developing strategic partnerships with key executives, both internally and externally, and diverse stakeholders, including payers, providers, pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs), and medical device and pharmaceutical companies.
Neil excels in payer and provider operations, business development, sales channel delivery, revenue cycle management, information technology, and compliance. With HealthBPM, Neil served as the engagement lead and project manager for a number of RCM improvement projects and the opening of a new consolidated services center. He has worked with several healthcare startups companies such as MinuteClinic and Virtual Radiologic, establishing national, regional, and local payer contracts, and managing the credentialing process for the organizations’ providers.
Neil earned a Master of Business Administration in executive leadership from St. Thomas University and bachelor’s degrees in mathematics and economics from St. Olaf College.
