Greg Uszak is a multidisciplinary certified public accountant with more than a decade of experience focused on healthcare finance, business operations, and strategy development.
At HMA, Greg has been a key member of the strategic finance team. His work includes assessing the current financial state of client operations; financial planning and analysis; and market positioning, payment, and delivery transformation. He also supports the integration of value-based payments and alternative payment models.
Greg has managed and supported multiple projects, including developing comprehensive health strategies for provider delivery system optimization and designing and implementing supplemental Medicaid payment programs throughout the country. A strategic thinker and liaison, he helps organizations develop strategies and works across departments to ensure the financial state of the organization is included in decision-making.
Greg developed extensive healthcare experience at the OhioHealth hospital system, where he provided financial planning and analysis services and supported corporate development initiatives for the organization. Additionally, his experience includes financial systems and operations design, as well as mergers and acquisitions transaction advisory services.
Greg earned a Master of Science degree in health care management from Johns Hopkins University, a bachelor’s degree in forensic accounting from Franklin University, and a bachelor’s degree in criminology and criminal justice studies from Ohio State University. In addition to being a certified public accountant, he has an executive certificate in project management from Johns Hopkins University.
