A strategic and innovative leader, Deborah Gracey has extensive experience in leading large-scale transformation and growth efforts.

Since joining HMA, Deborah has connected the payor and provider communities in transformative and innovative initiatives through her expertise in healthcare finance, alternative payment models, Medicare, Medicaid, dual eligible models, delivery system integration, and provider strategies for success with managed care and value-based payment structures. Deborah helps clients through the process of designing strategies, planning tactics, and successful implementation.

Prior to joining HMA, Deborah was president of Humana’s Medicare business for the Great Lakes region, where she was responsible for the profitability and growth of a $1.2 billion business with 35 Medicare Advantage plans in Illinois, Michigan, and Wisconsin. She oversaw complex provider relationships, community relations, revenue enhancement, and cost containment.

While at Humana, Deborah created and ran a new performance organization accountable for integrated, enterprise-wide Medicare performance management, process engineering, and planning to create an exemplary consumer experience for 4.5 million Medicare members.

Deborah is certified as a Six Sigma Green Belt. She earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Maryland University College. She completed an intensive 16-month program, “Healthcare Leaders 2020”.

An avid traveler with a passion for dance and swimming, what Deborah enjoys most of all is spending time with her three grown children and her two grandsons.
