An experienced healthcare professional, Danielle (Dani) Swanson employs her interest and knowledge in public health to provide intelligence and strategic guidance to clients on evidence-based practices, disease prevention, workforce development, and cross-sector collaboration.
With Health Management Associates, Dani has piloted innovative public health models aimed at increasing health equity and building public health capacity through partnerships with community-based organizations (CBOs). She also has extensive experience facilitating partnerships, learning forums, and other strategies dedicated to understanding diverse viewpoints and improving cross-sector partnerships. Leveraging her communication skills, Dani is adept at developing educational public health content and data visualizations for clients and public users.
In addition to her public health experience, Dani has more than five years of project management, client communication, and personnel management experience. Working in federal and pharmaceutical research contracting at Intermountain Healthcare, Dani ensured quality and consistency across all divisions of clinical research. She developed in-depth knowledge of federal clinical research policy and led efforts to improve internal quality control processes. She also identified areas of potential risk and implemented quality control processes to ensure research standards and reorganized process maps cross-departmentally to expedite initiation of research studies.
Previously, Dani spent several years advising physicians and patients seeking hereditary cancer screening at Myriad Genetics, where she developed expertise in complex data review and communication.
Dani has a master’s degree in public health from the University of Washington and a bachelor’s degree in biology from Utah State University.
