An accomplished healthcare executive, Jeff Booth has more than 35 years of experience in organizational strategy, transformation, operations and financial planning. He is a skilled relationship builder, adept at managing physician relations and alignment, C-suite and board-level client relationships, regional and national business units, and cross-collaborative teams.

Before joining Health Management Associates, Jeff was founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of Hope Recovery Centers, a national addiction recovery services company. In this role, he developed the strategic plan for the organization as well as all operating policies and procedures, and recruited and trained the company’s team.

Jeff has demonstrated expertise in business model transformation as well as strategic growth plan development and implementation. As CEO of a rural health system, Jeff advanced care and stabilized the system through key initiatives, including divesting the hospital from an affiliation agreement with a large health system and redesigning hospital processes to align with strategic market goals.

In his consulting roles, he has developed and implemented comprehensive strategies for clients including academic institutions, safety net hospitals, physician practices, and rural, acute, and post-acute providers. Jeff has experience developing and implementing joint ventures, including structural redesigns. He has also designed comprehensive ambulatory strategies, including new campus launches; service line growth initiatives and hospital-physician partnering models; and operational and clinical performance improvement projects.

Leveraging his finance background, Jeff has proven success leading financial and transactional initiatives. He has completed hundreds of strategic financial projections for both internal health system projects and capital markets financings. He has also led a variety of transactional strategies for provider institutions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, affiliations, and service line management companies.

On the operations side, Jeff has developed care coordination plans, implemented operational and clinical process improvements, and instituted new governance structures. He has also led information technology (IT) and digital transformations, including implementing a telehealth affiliation agreement with a prominent academic institution. His guidance has helped clients grow strategically while improving quality of care and driving operational efficiencies.

Jeff earned a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from Emory University.
