Tracy Tang brings a wealth of Medicaid policy, financing, and managed care experience to HMA clients. A skilled researcher and program evaluator, Tracy appreciates the complexities and nuances of Medicaid program design and implementation. Tracy is experienced in procurement and contract development, regulatory compliance monitoring, and quality and performance measurement strategies and tools.
Tracy understands both the payer and provider sides of procurement. She is proficient at gathering, organizing and analyzing health care data to identify trends and highlight areas that may be targeted for improved quality and efficiency. During her career at HMA, Tracy has helped health care and LTSS providers, managed care organizations, dental benefit plans, health care delivery systems, and advocacy groups with a range of Medicaid-related issues. She provides Programs for All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) organizations with guidance on policy, the application process, and operational readiness.
Prior to joining HMA, Tracy participated in the design, federal approval process and rollout of Florida Medicaid’s early ventures into disease management. She also supported the state team charged with developing Florida’s 1915(b) Medicaid managed care waiver. As a researcher and policy analyst for the Florida Medicaid program and a statistician for the Florida Center for Health Information and Policy Analysis, Tracy has led numerous provider profiling and other health care research projects over the years.
Tracy has a master’s degree in executive management with a focus on health care administration from Florida State University.
